The Probate Court Appoints the Public Administrator to act on each case as ordered: Probate estates for deceased, conservator estates, guardian estates, or for any other actions the court desires.
Clients are called wards and they can be of any age. They can be elderly or young with no family to support them that is why the public administrator is appointed.
The Court Order tells you what your duties are and the Public Administrator has the task of finding the best placement according to the disability and the finances available to the ward. Most cases are involved in disputes of some kind.
The Public Administrator is required to file an annual report on each case according to the specific case and the Probate Court Judge has the final approval on your report.
